Title: Senior Packaging Manager

Industry: Beverage Manufacturing

Location: Greater Portland Area

Status: Full-time, Exempt

We’re working with a renowned and growing brewery and beverage manufacturer with a strong legacy, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for quality. They’re seeking a Senior Packaging Manager to lead their largest operations team and play a critical role in delivering high-performance results across safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and wants to be a key player in driving production excellence and operational growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a high-performing packaging department and manage a team of supervisors and line staff
  • Execute daily production plans across a variety of beverage products while ensuring quality and safety standards
  • Monitor shift operations, review passdowns, and respond quickly to changes in production
  • Troubleshoot and implement sustainable solutions using root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and help embed a lean mindset across the team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales & Ops Planning, Maintenance, and other departments
  • Evaluate and improve onboarding, SOPs, preventative maintenance, changeovers, and capital projects
  • Use data and KPIs to track productivity, quality, cost, and performance
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and food safety standards, and support internal audits
  • Build a positive, accountable team culture centered around development, performance, and fun

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in beverage/CPG manufacturing with strong packaging line experience
  • 3–5 years in a team supervisory or management role
  • Familiarity with depalletizers, fillers, seamers, and case packers
  • Experience executing or managing lean manufacturing practices and CapEx projects
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety compliance in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and ERP/MES systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or equivalent experience
  • Strong communicator and hands-on leader with a passion for driving results
