Job Description
Project Manager Location: 90% remote in Madison, WI (MUST BE WI Resident)
Duration: 6+ month contract with likely extensions
Pay Rate Range: $50 - $60/hr
Responsibilities:
- Lead full lifecycle project management across assigned initiatives, ensuring on?time, high?quality delivery.
- Oversee project workplans, timelines, resource coordination, and evaluation activities.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, workgroups, providers, and advocacy organizations.
- Prepare and deliver executive briefings, written reports, and project status updates.
- Develop project artifacts such as charters, plans, and status reports.
- Create automated tools and process improvements to streamline project execution.
- Support the Preschool Development Grant by tracking budgets, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, change management practices, and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- PMP certification or completion of a recognized project management curriculum (REQUIRED).
- 10+ years of project management experience with complex, cross?functional initiatives.
- 10+ years developing project artifacts (charters, plans, status reports, etc.).
- 7+ years preparing written reports and communicating with diverse audiences.
- 7+ years of strong verbal and written communication experience.
- 5+ years preparing executive?level briefings.
- 5+ years using MS Project or equivalent tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing projects across multiple technologies and business functions.
