Director of Custodial Operations
Location: Fort Wayne, IN (On-site)
We are seeking an experienced leader to manage custodial operations across a large K-12 school district. This role oversees daily custodial services, staff development, and budget management, ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead custodial operations for multiple school facilities
- Manage and develop staff, ensuring service excellence
- Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and operational performance
- Drive compliance with safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with district leadership on facilities initiatives
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of custodial or facilities management experience (K-12 or higher education strongly preferred)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Experience with custodial operations, floor care, and equipment
- Proven ability to manage budgets and projects
- Exceptional communication and client relationship skills
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and/or Certified Facilities Manager (CFM).
