Job Description
We’re seeking experienced Inpatient AR Follow-Up Billers to join a high-performance team within a fast-paced hospital billing environment. Candidates must live close enough to commute on-site 4 times a year and demonstrate proficiency in inpatient billing, EOB reading, and appeals processing , especially with high-dollar accounts .
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2+ years of inpatient hospital billing experience
(Outpatient-only billing experience will NOT be considered)
- Strong EOB reading and appeals experience
- Demonstrated success handling high-dollar accounts
- Ability to meet productivity expectations (60–80 accounts/day )
- Experience in payer portals and insurance follow-up
- Comfort working in a strict, metric-driven environment
- Proficiency with UB04 , Microsoft Excel/Word, and billing systems
- Ability to type at least 35 WPM
Nice to Have
- Bilingual
- Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 codes
- Prior exposure to MCOs (Managed Care Organizations)
Responsibilities
- Resolve complex billing/account issues and escalate payer problems promptly
- Work high-volume inpatient accounts and meet daily productivity metrics
- Flag registration errors and ensure data integrity using internal tools
- Collaborate in a team setting and attend required trainings and CEUs
- Meet all quality and productivity benchmarks (95%+ accuracy)
